QUIT SMOKING
Smoking and second hand smoke and the breathing in
of noxious fumes or irritating dust may cause severe lung damage.
Lung disease, suffocation, and serious injury to the lungs and
throat may occur. Symptoms include irritation of the throat and
lungs, singed nasal hairs, shortness of breath, a lack of oxygen,
dusty gray spittle, wheezing, noisy breathing, restlessness,
nervousness, cough, and hoarseness. Fluid in the lungs may develop
up to 48 hours after exposure.
Notes: Smoke fumes are a primary cause of sinusitis
and other respiratory ailments. If you are around cigarette or
environmental smoke, it is important that you protect your lungs,
liver, and brain from the detrimental effects of these toxins. Do
not worsen the problem by eating refined sugar and flour foods. They
will only serve to create more congestion in the sinus and nasal
cavities of the body, slowly moving into the lungs. If you cannot
avoid smoke, or if you yourself smoke, be certain that you cleanse
and supplement with Tumeric or Una de Gato, as they have been found
to help negate the harmful effects of cigarette and other
tobacco-related fumes. Smoking also depletes vitamin C from the
body, therefore smokers should supplement with additional vitamin C.
