CANCER
Cancer is a general term for a cancerous tumor or
forms of new tissue cells that lack a controlled growth pattern.
Cancer cells usually invade and destroy normal tissue cells. A
cancer tends to spread to other parts of the body by releasing cells
into the lymph or bloodstream. In this way, cancer cells can be
carried to a place in the body that may be far from the first tumor.
The first site of cancer is sometimes called a primary cancer. The
tumor that grows as a result of the cancer spreading is called a
secondary cancer. A secondary cancer often is noticed before the
primary cancer is detected. There are more than 150 different kinds
of cancer and many different causes, including viruses, too much
exposure to sunlight or x-rays, cigarette smoking, and chemicals in
the environment. Cancer can also refer to any of a large group of
diseases in which malignant cells are present. The most common sites
for the growth of cancerous tumors are the lung, breast, colon,
uterus, mouth, and bone marrow. Many cancerous tumors or lesions are
curable if found in the early stage. Warning signs for cancer may be
a change in bowel or bladder habits, a non-healing sore, unusual
bleeding or discharge, a thickening or lump in the breast or
elsewhere, indigestion or difficulty in swallowing, an obvious
change in a wart or mole, or a nagging cough or continuing
hoarseness.
Notes: The first aspect of this disease is to stop
putting any toxins in the body that may divert the immune system's
attentions from fighting the carcinogens. Blood Type foods, little
sugar, no refined products, and eating mainly raw foods will help
the immune system fight the foreign cells. Removing the toxins that
are creating the problem is the second aspect of the process. Every
eliminative system of the body must be functioning at peak
efficiency. Finally, a strong, uncompromised immune system will keep
policing the body to seek out and destroy foreign cells. Exercise
and meditation or prayer helps to keep the body in balance.
